Why World Fear Not ODE TO THE YEARS

WORLD FEAR NOT

Living in the streets

Like a man outta' time

Careful who you meet

You've commited no crime

Let the world shed its tears

You have nothing to fear

Love is hellish rainstorms

Why should you care

You tell yourself

The world doesn't care

Take it like a man

Who cares about his share

You don't fear the world

Think the world should fear you

Fear not the world

For it destroys you

Gabe D. Jernigan

LIFE WITHOUT LOVE

On the wings of a wingless dove

Going down to one more love

Like a man without a life

Like a man without a wife

Look at that lonesome soul

Nowhere to be, but ready to go

Like a rose without love

On the wings of a wingless dove

Life without the wings of a dove

No one cares, life without love

READY FOR REVOLUTION (published)

Look out the window

What can you tell?

Terror, hatred

Nothing but hell

People killing people

Like it's open season

Killing our sons

It's the devil we're pleasin'

Riots of chaos

All through the land

Revolution will grab us

Like a big, ugly hand

Revolution, Revolution

Watch out for the blade

The razor's edge is coming

Its path's already paved

Gabe D. Jernigan

WAR ZONE

Devil, Devil take my son

Take him up to Washington

Show him how to use a gun

Go to war, kill someone

Let him come home in a box

Cause the enemy cleaned his clock

With a M-16 to his head

Now the young boy is dead

Mr. Pres., What do you say

All the boys got blown away

It seems as if to say

"We'll own this freakin' world one day!"

MADMAN

Madman came to see the world

Seeing all he could see

A clear mixture blurred his vision

It was such a fright

He gave his heart to Heaven

Then had a heart transplant

A red cloud blurred his vision

It was such a fright

The girl that was his angel

Left him for a devil

A dark cloud blurred his vision

It was such a fright

LOVE'S DARK RAVEN (published)

Loving in a world of outsiders and hate

Waiting for the right time

The right time to end all pain

The dark raven comes in a night of dreams

Love and hate, nowhere to run

Lovers come but they never want to stay

Life goes on until the wind blows you on

Hate is always in their eyes

Saying they will always love you

Flying on the wings of dark raven

Knowing no one cares for the lonely

The dark raven comes in the night

LONG LAST LOVE

How long will it last?

Through the downpour of life

Through the thunder of death

Looking through the looking glass

Life has no other lesson to learn

Than to live before the flames come down

Every cloud has its lining

Every sky has its rain

Live before you burn

If you learn nothing else

Cause who knows how it will last

WHY

If love is so grand

Then why haven't I tasted its lips

Why haven't I smelled its scent

Or seen its beauty

Why haven't I been blessed with its presence

Why hasn't St. Valentine's Day left me anything

Love is a bombshell waiting to tear you apart

Gabe D. Jernigan

THE LIES OF LOVE(published)

The lies of life that break you heart.
The heartless heartbreaks that tear you apart.
Can whiskey help your broken heart?
Or mend it where it was torn apart?
Does love really exist?
Or is it just a myth?
In your heart it's alive.
But in you mind it has died.
Romance is just a fable.
For those who aren't able.
Some say love is like a dove.
My dove is dying.
He is no longer flying.

Gabe D. Jernigan

RAIN FORESTS(published)

All the rain forests die
The birds forget how to fly
Wonder how or why
Before the world says, goodbye

Not caring might take our lives
If we don't care how or why
Tomorrow the world might say goodbye
All in heaven will cry

Gabe D. Jernigan

PROTEST

Protest, protest till we die
Raise hell, raise hell till we fry
No one ever cares or cries
Politicians telling lies
No one cares how or why
Everybody lives to die

Gabe D. Jernigan

LITTLE SPARROW(published)

Little sparrow you have flown
Now you can't find your way home
God will lead you to the promised land
If it's not your time, he'll understand
Little sparrow you have flown
And now you are left all alone
Sparrow, Sparrow why have you flown
You are left all alone

Gabe D. Jernigan

SCHOOL DAYS

Back in the days and nights
When the grass was so green
Things you tried to figure out
You didn't care if your room was clean

The threat of war was all around
You couldn't wait for the bell to ring

Good friends and girls were your favorite things
Classes were the only things that came between

Graduation came and went
You found out the world was mean

But you decided school wasn't so bad
Teachers and book all seemed totally rad

LOVING FOR IT

Wanting the coolness in another's eyes
Loving like there's no today, living like there's no tonight
Wanting to fall and feel it forever
Live like there's no tomorrow
Forget that there was a yesterday

Fall off a mountain, land on a cloud
Live on the Earth, never touch the ground
Let the world explode, never get burned
Touch an angel while sitting on Earth
And never leave the living

ODE TO THE YEARS

Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust                  Goodbye to my 20's                                    Grow old I must

Living life at maximum thrust                   Goodbye to my 20's                                    Grow old I must

Not ready for the afterlife dust                     Goodbye to my 20's                              Grow old I must

Going to live till the Earth busts                                              Goodbye to my 20's                                    Grow old I must
